Engine Shrouding

Hello, recently bought my first corvair and am new to the forum. I bought my 67 2 door as a parts car for almost nothing cuz I thought it was worth saving. I was missing all the sheet metal that goes around the engine but I believe I have all the pieces at this point. Does anyone have a pic or link to a pic that shows how all these pieces go together? Would appreciate any advice or help. Thanks

I have also extracted and attached a portion of Section 6 of the 1965 Corvair Chassis Shop Manual that addresses the upper and lower engine shrouds.

There are many technical references for the Corvair that can be downloaded at no cost. These references can guide you through many mechanical procedures. The shop manual alone is what I used in 1969 when I was sixteen to teach myself how to rebuild a Corvair engine and automatic transmission. I highly suggest you explore the following link and download these technical references and manuals to build a personal technical reference library on your PC. Individual pages can be printed to use as references when you are out working on your Corvair. You can also purchase hard copies of the shop manual and some other valuable references to keep with you on the road or in the garage from sources like Clark's Corvair Parts, eBay, and Amazon.com.

Of course, asking for help or clarification on the Corvair Forum is a great help too. I wish I had had such resources available to me when I started working on Corvairs back in the 1960s and 1970s!

Another great potential help is joining a CORSA (Corvair Society of America) club chapter, if one is available in your local area. Local face-to-face contact with other Corvair enthusiasts can be a great way to exchange information and to enhance your enjoyment of your Corvair hobby.

I would suggest writing a brief personal Corvair-related biography here on the Corvair Forum in the Introductions section. Tell us a little about yourself, your interest in Corvairs and classic cars, where you live, and your personal assessment of your mechanical skills and knowledge. Post some pictures of your Corvair, and tell us about your goals and objectives with your car. Such information can help to improve understanding and improve communication over the Internet, as it helps Corvair Forum members to better understand your background and experience so that we can write comments and suggestions that will be of more use to you.
