input shaft oil seal

Post by boatbob2 »

On the input shaft from the engine into trans, there are 2 oil seals, clark does NOT have them,go to EBAY,enter oil seal ,,NATIONAL PART # 471707N,is the correct seal, the price for 2 seals is $14.92,with free shipping..instead of taking trans apart,to replace inner seal (same part #) I put both seals (and a VITRON ) O- ring,on the engine side of shaft. :banghead:  :tu:

The input shaft for Manual takes 1 seal and 1 split ring UNLESS you have the clarks 2 seal input shaft snout on the diff? This seal and split ring are changed from the outside of the diff,No O-rings, Please clarify if you are talking manual or automatic diff?

clarks has the seals - they have anything youll need for the vair. c494 - early & c495 for late cars. $8.50 for 2 seals + $1.30 ship = $9.80. thats a lot better price than the $14.95 you paid on ebay & you are supporting a vair vendor. :banghead:  :tu:
