What is the age range of Corvair Fans? (POLL)
Having been a member of a number of different car clubs, I am always surprised at the diversity of ages that enjoy classic cars. I looked around on the forum and didn't see this topic anywhere else, so thought I'd take a poll, just for fun you know.

There seems to be two in my age group! But when out and about it seems that the average age for corvair owners that I run into are 50+

New owner. I'm 37. I've wanted a Corvair since I was 16.
The Porsche club was mostly 50-70 year olds owing all years of cars.
The British car club is a similar demographic.
I think a lot of baby boomers/empty nesters get into the car they've always wanted later in life. Mostly because of time and economics.

I've been in the Porsche club and went to the local CORSA chapter and in both, all the guys were usually 50's upwards.. There were a few of my age, but not many..
I'm no spring chicken (46) but I have to agree with Scott, I'm likely going to be the youngest in the local club.

I've got 6 more months and I change age groups - then at least we will have 1 in the 76 "club" I have played with corvairs since got my new 63 Monza convert with all the HD options (semi metallic brakes, HD shocks, HD springs, 4speed, 102 hp engine & positraction differential. Added quick steering arms, "short" shifter , Lucas"flame thrower" lights & a Becker Mexico AM/FM radio.) I had almost $2700 invested! Have tried "taking the cure" several times, but always seem to "fall off the wagon" eventually, don't ya know!!

Although I'm 37, It's nice to see "young" people interested in these cars!

Hey Freedo, we old guys always welcome some young blood to carry on. You're pretty smart to tap a big knowledge bank like this instead of knowing it all and thrashing your way through and having to learn by making the same mistakes many here have already made. Learn from the Jedi's, young Padiwan.

I am 58 and one of the younger guys in ChooChoo Corvairs. There are a few younger, but not many! But at least we have a lot of experience and knowledge in the group! :)

I'm super psyched to see this poll... Ray and I often are the youngest ones at the Vair events.. he is 33 and I'm 27! We have heard again and again how worried the Vair community is about the cars disappearing when the more seasoned Vair lovers are gone... WE have gotten our buddy Ben into the cars.. so much so that he has a '62 Monza sitting in our garage right now!!!!!! I ADORE my '63 Monza. They are such a nice change from THE SAME MUSCLE CARS!!! Blahhhh!!! Mustangs, Chevelles, Camaros, they are a dime a dozen.
Anyway THANKS FOR THIS!!!
