These are some great pictures! My Corvair trunk is too boring to photograph... just a jack, tool kit, emergency reflectors, first aid kit, some spare parts, jump starter battery pack, and my wife's wheelchair. That doesn't leave much room for junk.
I found your opening photo of a tree in the trunk to be a great startup. I got some good laughs from all of the pictures you posted!

That bar idea is awesome! Gives me a whole new idea for my basement! Or garage - yeah garage would be better probably. You could probably insulate it and make it either a cooler or a reach in fridge by converting a small dorm fridge unit into that somehow.
1st one - 65 Monza Vert with power top and 110 with a 4 spd. Was a bit dilapidated but fun, 2nd was a 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible. PG - 1960 or 61 or 63 80 hp engine - we think...

I like the 2 ideas above it a lot better for my basement -- You'd just have to say "grab me a cold one baby " ...

Back in the day we would fill the trunk with ice and beer and head "out the road" . The built in drain plug came in handy .

I remember a scene like that in Dazed and Confused when they were tossing beers they had in the trunk with ice.
The basement - I still haven't finished it my basement and this just gave me an idea of a theme for the bar.
Add that Corvair bar pics and the Tilted Kilt pics and I think there's a good time in the making!
