REPLACING MANIFOLDS
I need to replace the manifolds and crossover pipe on my 65 Vair. My question is how difficult is this to do under the car. I hope I don't have to pull the engine out. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

no, you don't have to drop the motor, its pretty straight foreward and easy
Drive it like you stole it

Re: REPLACING MANIFOLDS
Thanks Bobby65. I plan on doing it next week. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well.

I'd suggest spraying the manifold studs (two on each side) with penetrating oil every day until you do the job. Your #1 issue will be keeping the studs from twisting off as you unscrew their nuts. Take it easy and slow and you might get lucky!
