Just saw this ad. Don't know the seller or vehicle history but the body looks clean and could be a good find for anyone looking to do a Crown or Kelmark type Corvair.
It's well over an hour drive from me or I would go check it out just to see what it's all about.

This corvair has been modified to a mid-engine racecar. It was intended to have a Chevy small block installed which I do have. It comes with many extra parts and has a great body. All the trim, radio, glass, door panels, gauges ect... are included. It will be a fun project to complete if you have the time which I haven't had. Stop me Azdave, we saw this listing a while back and now my dad wants to go look at it. My 66 has too many body patches and bondo. Plus that front end is push in a little. I'll let you know the outcome.

I hope it's worth the drive out. Nothing beats a good solid chassis that hasn't been wrecked before, especially if it has a clear, in-state title. I am very up front with people and tell them how much I know about Corvairs and leave them with a no-pressure, fair offer. Many times they will call in a month or two and ask me to come get it and if that happens, I hustle out there with the agree upon funds and pick it up.

Even if it's a wreck, remember that I bought an old Kelmark conversion that had sat in the desert for 20+ years and made good money simply parting it out. I kept all of the goodies I needed, sold the rest and ended up giving the chassis away to another club member to save the good body panels from the crusher.

Azdave or anyone have input to this type of set up for V8 conversion?

Oh ya, forgot to mention I bought the car.

Looks similar to Kelmark or Mid Eng conversion. Same as the pic I have above except that I mislabeled it as a Crown conversion (fixed now).
