I got my first ticket in my 65 turbocharged corvair, went around a corner doing about 85 in a 45, caught the gravel on the side of the road, tail slid out, and I would've pulled off the drift, but there was a passat, so I lifted off the gas, did a 360, and the front passenger corner just scraped his car, I left a single 12 inch scratch on his rear door, he wasn't even going to call the cops because the damage was so minor, but some lady called the cops from her house , I ended up getting a careless driving ticket, and learning how to hammer and dolly dents out!

In 1977 I was in my first car, a 1967 Ford Fairland w/ 289 ci. I goosed it a little too soon when I turned a corner and it fishtailed but hung in and it felt so cool that I stayed with it and proceeded to about 75 in a 35. It was early in the morning and the back window was fogged up so I didn't see the cop until I came to a red light and cut across the corner of a parking lot to bypass it then saw his red lights flashing on the fogged rear window. I'll never forget his first words when he asked me "are you having fun boy?" While he was writing me 2 well deserved tickets I asked him where he was because I hadn't seen him. He said he was across the intersection when I made that "hairy assed turn" I let it go before he started writing me a ticket for that too. I was 18.

In a Corvair.. a 1964 Monza convertible... the first ticket was for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign...I disagreed with the officer... didn't matter, still got the ticket. Red convertible, Thrush mufflers, 102" CB antenna and a teenage driver... equals a ticket....

I was 17, and I was driving my fathers 78 Dodge ramcharger. This thing was the size of a boat and was painted mat black, before hot rod black was in vogue. It was the late 80's and Ziggy Pops "a wild child" came on the radio. I pulled such an impressive fish tail as I rounded the corner, unfortunately right in front of a cop.

First ticket speeding in my mothers 60 Buick invicta convertible with rare bucket seats and the wildcat 445 engine.
Wasn't even that fast and I wasn't exercising the motor.

60 Chevy 4 dr wagon, 10 mph over cost me $10.00. Second one was in 62 in my new Black/Red Monza, another $10.00, 30 in a 25. Way back then you could afford to pay a ticket.

1994 On a 1975 Honda cb400f supersport

Altamonte Springs cop pulled me over because "I hate those damn jap bikes, so anytime i can give one a ticket i will." I was 16 and got a ticket for 51 in a 45.

2 days later same cop pulled over and arrested me and my father for "racing at over 120 mph". My dad was on his 1993 cbr900rr and i was on a my 75 cb400 which wouldnt do over 100 on a good day. Went to court and beat both tickets because of that one ignorant arrest.

Same cop 2 years ago pulls me over on my cbr for 48 in a 45 on SR436. Immediately starts in on me with his crap about jap bikes. i just listen and smile. Starts telling me about all these false things he can ticket me for. Still listening and smiling. He asks for my DL and i hand my P.O.S.T certification (Peace Officer Standards and Training). He hands me back my card and says "so..you're a cop?" I responded with yep, and dickheads like you are the reason i decided to be one. He turned and got his police bike and rode away.

Supposedly he retired a few months later.

Sad when guys like that are around for so long and give the whole police force a bad reputation and create a lot of negative public opinion.

1982 Ford Mustang GT...I was working out of town and driving back on weekends...ended up getting my first TWO tickets the same weekend, one coming home on Sat, the other going back on Sunday. Needless to say I got a nasty letter from my insurance company with a stern warning!
