Just bought this car yesterday, posted alot of pics in the introduction part of the forum. I was wondering if i can get some schematics or a link to some manual pages for a 1964 corvair 700 4 door. Need schematics for the gear shifter to the transmission. Need a throttle/ accelerator pedal to motor schematic. Also need a fuel tank or fuel system schematic (to run new lines). And a schematic for the brake system. Any of that would be a great help to me. Have this one week of "indian summer" and would like to have it on the road shortly after it gets cold again (about a week).

Hello and welcome to the exclusive fraternity of very smart people who own the best year of early Corvairs! :-)
Most if not all of the information you are looking for can be found in the factory shop manuals. For your car, you need to buy two manuals -- the 1961 shop manual and the 1964 supplement (it was very common for GM to stretch a shop manual a few years this way). I just looked on eBay and someone has the pair of manuals for $15:

Good luck with your project. Very few of the 500's and 700's seem to have survived so it's nice to see one of them being given some love.

Also, in case you haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, pretty much anything you need can be obtained from the 2 or 3 major Corvair vendors. Rafee and Clark's are the names you will see mentioned most here. The Rafee folks and some of the other smaller vendors are great people, but often times the reality is that Clark's is the most comprehensive and you will end up shopping there.

If it's any help, the 1961 Shop manual can be found here:

Not well organized, but it's all there. They don't have the '64 supplement though.

only thing i have actually completed is stripping the brakes minus the metal lines from the MC..... serious lack of wrenching time...
