Hi! I'm new here!
I'm Matthew Shortle, Tim Shortle's son, and I'm glad to be on here. You probably know that my father passed away back in April so it's good to see all of you on this forum. I got several Corvairs in my collection and a lot of parts around me. Let me know if you people are interested! Thank you!

Matthew,
Welcome to the forum and my sincere condolences regarding the loss of your Father.
IF you are able to take photo's of items that need to find homes and post them, it may help.
Even a photo of a section of shelving with multiple items on it might be useful when individuals that see it, might recognize something they might have a need or desire to acquire.
IF you are able to identify parts by description (Including New, Used, Reproduction etc...) and post them, it would be beneficial.
Something else that might be beneficial, especially for those that are not familiar with the general vicinity these parts are located would be to add in your profile a state and town name to give folks an idea how far they are from you and or the parts.
Larger items like transmissions, differentials, engines, sheet metal, seats etc... would often be cost prohibitive to ship so knowing a general location could potentially motivate those close enough to pick these types of items up.
IF you are in an area where a Corvair specific event is close enough, it might be worth the effort to bring some of the items you have to such an event...

Re: Hi! I'm new here!
Matt, your dad was very special to me and I offer my condolences to you.
Several years ago, your dad was travelling through Flagstaff, AZ when his Corvair broke down. Tim used the CORSA roster to call a local member for help. The person he called was my father, Richard Downey.
My father grabbed his tools, and a fuel pump and drove to where your dad was and together they fixed the Corvair and got him on his way home.
A few weeks later, my dad received a new fuel pump from Tim in the mail with big "thank you's".
I didn't know all of this until I met your dad on one of these forums and he told me the story. Tim was a great man with a grateful heart of gold!

Hi Matthew. I never met your father in person, but we had done quite a bit of horse trading over the years. I was really shocked to hear of his passing. Let me offer my deepest condolences to you and your family. Everyone always speaks highly of your father. He was a.great guy. I am currently looking for my next project and would love to hear if you have any viable possibilities. Thanks for helping to maintain the hobby.

Hi Matthew,
Like others, I never met your father, but I talked to him several times about Corvair related stuff and Durango. I have been to Durango three times visiting a friend who lives there. I asked Tim if he knew my friend, but it seemed their paths did not cross. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my conversations with Tim, and I was saddened to learn that he passed away.

It is nice to see that you added a location to your profile, that should eliminate a lot of folks asking where you are located when parts are advertised or help is needed
