Hello,
Have noticed the action on VirtualVairs has slowed down a bit, so started looking for something a little livelier. Had stopped in the Corvair Ranch open house and heard good things about Corvair Forum, so started lurking here. I am located in central Maryland and currently have a '63 Monza that could use some work.

Welcome to the most active forum nowadays. The other forum petered out after Corsa took it over. Not going to dwell on that, but most old time members came over here and we are enjoying being here. Great communication and tech info being shared to keep our Vairs rolling.

If you can't find the answer in the many resource documents, one of the memv=bers here has run across the issue in their time with the Corvair.

Talking about resource documents, here is a link to documents and websites that will be helpful. Corvanatics and files to download for your car shop manual. Make sure you get the 1961 shop manual, as it is the base shop manual for your car and the 63 shop manual just supplement for the changes to the 63 model year changes.

Recommended Corvair Manuals & other good info

Corvair and Corvair 95 Repair Manuals
https://www.corvair.org/chapters/corvan ... .php#C95RP

The Corsa Technical Guide is a must, as it has 64 years of experience with maintenance, repairing & and modifying Corvairs wrapped up in all its pages. Lots of technical info in it. Always will recommend having all of Bob Helts' books at your fingertips. Bless his soul, he took the time to document a lot of info for us in his books. He is one of our beloved Covair Gurus and we miss having him here on the forum.

Good with your Vair. Have many enjoyable miles & hours driving and working on your prized possession.

Welcome Jaypaul. I'm in Jacksonville/Phoenix (East of Hunt Valley), near the Harford County line. My '64 is due in, in a couple weeks. There's a Coffee & Cars meet every saturday 0800-1100 or so @ Hunt Valley Mall. Haven't seen a Corvair yet there. Figure I'll mess with the Guys and park mine in amongst the 911's & Bugs rather than the vette's and camaro's. ( I can plead innocense...after all it IS Rear Engine Air Cooled, LOL)!
