Paxton or Vortech superchargers
I was just curious if anyone has seen either of these used on a vair? I know Paxton makes some superchargers that are designed to turn counter-clockwise. Seems like with less heat (no turbo), and a kick ass freeflowing exhaust it would be a relatively simple way to really make a lot of power. If anyone has any pics of some 'vairs that have one......
I read an article on "blow-thru" systems where some of the new Holley carbs can handle being pressurized up to 15 psi of boost! Seems like it would be very interesting on a center 4-barrel setup on a 140.

Phil: you can tell them exactly what I did when I left:
This site is much better than CCF, make the switch now before it's too late!
I won't start a war here because I like this place, but suffice it to say I have very good reasons for leaving. Just ask Kevin!
I'm more than willing to help CCF forum members still, they only need to drop me a line at my Email address.

Re: Paxton or Vortech superchargers
They have been used with success in the past, one guy just twisted the belt. I think he won some drag races with it! I will try to dig up some info.

Re: Paxton or Vortech superchargers
In the mid '60s I ended up with a bunch of stuff including a 2 barrel manifold for the Corvair, a Paxton blower with brackets, a two piece carb incloser, and a two barrel carb. I had it sitting around for a while and a friend asked to see if he could fit it on a 62 V8 (215) Tempest. I don't think he got it on, but I never saw it again.
