Paint Color Question?

Is 1965 Sierra Tan a one year only color...at least the name?

Yes, Sierra tan is a one-year color.
In '66, it was replaced by "sandalwood tan", similar but leaning away from Sierra tan's gold to a slightly darker, slightly more brown version.
