F/S NORS Ignition switches for EMs/FC, and 65 LMs

Post by TimeMachineParadox »

Hello all, I had this posted on the other forum as well.

I have a number of NORS Sorenson brand ignition switches for sale. I hesitate to say I have a stock, because I'm not trying to be a business, but I have many multiples of each.
These are USA made, no cheap modern reproduction.
These have the correct plug pinouts and do not require adapters or other make-shift solutions.
Each switch is complete with mounting hardware and instructions, and will be in its sealed bag.

I was informed that some replacement switches do not have a correct thread pitch (thanks Junkman). These have the correct 24TPI pitch.

Available is the following:
SA-72, for 60-64 EMs and FCs ($60)
SA-67, for 65 cars (no FC) ($100)
SA-90L, Lock cylinder and key for 65 switches, will also fit 60-64 but is not the correct style ($15)

Prices are plus shipping out of Louisville, KY.

I'm also going to Helen Springfest 2024
In the interest of trying to move some of these, I'll bring some with me and offer at these HELEN PRICES
Cash only, or trade for an FC part?
SA-72 (50$)
SA-67 (80$), plus free lock cylinder if you want one

Thanks!
Nick Richter

60-64 Switch and pinout
This switch has the additional ACC. connection that other GM cars used, it does not interfere with the stock harness connector.

TMP --- That 65 switch, if correct, is now obsolete. An oddball used only on 1965 models and uses the shorter chrome bezel (that Clark's sells). Nobody reproduces that switch!! A fair price IMHO.

In 66 the tumber and switch changed and requires a deeper chrome bezel (to look correct) that oddly Clark's does NOT sell even though they sell the 66 switch.

This is indeed the correct switch for 65s, it accepts the semi-circular tumbler pin like was used with the 60-64 tumblers.
See the image of the back of the SA-90L tumbler for what this looks like.

There was a good article somewhere (from the communique?) talking about what makes the 65 switch unique. But I can't find it.

Fun fact, this switch was also used for the 65 Corvettes.
If you want to buy it for your Corvette I'll set it for a bargain $180 ::-):
