Cars of today that you can use the seats for an EM

Post by indianalakewood1961 »

Do any of today's cars interiors (seats) work in an EM without doing a lot of modifications..

I'm in disussion right now with a guy who has a 64 vert who wants to upgrade his seats. He actually wants 3 or 4 point seat belts. Room is the first issue, EM's are narrower. Stock buckets in an EM almost touch each other, nice space between the seats in a LM. We were eyeing the Sebring seats and may have decided on a pair of nice leather (vinyl?) seats that recline and fold forward for rear seat access.

I've seen a set of leather PT Cruiser seats in an LM that looked like hardly any fab work was needed. Those may work for an EM. I used Honda Civic seats in my LM. They should also work, but more fabbing is needed to get them in. Not bad but still work. lol
The Sebring seats are cool because the built in shoulder belt they are pretty big seats though.
