Found! Gas Heater Exhaust Pipe
I need a gas heater exhaust pipe and clamp for my '60 car.
The new ones are rather spendy and they don't have a clamp. I imagine shipping won't be cheap due to the size of the box.
It's for my own car and would like to move forward while I have the gas tank at Gas Tank Renu.

Hey Jim, do you have a picture? I have a bunch of NOS pipes I think go to gas heaters?

Re: Wanted Gas Heater Exhaust Pipe
I don't have a picture. it is about 1" diameter and swedged a little larger on the front if I remember right. It goes down a few inches and turns to follow the bulkhead outside of where a passenger might put their feet up. It goes down at a rearward angle about 18" and then bends to follow the floor. There's a mounting tab near that bend. It follows the floor about 24" and then has a slash end down.
I have a pipe for FC. It's different and has a turnout at the end rather than just straight.
There's a little line drawing on Clarks catalog page 105.

The Corvair Ranch may be able to help you in your used parts search. They can probably answer your questions about fitment and parts interchange.
They should be able to meet your needs for used but serviceable Corvair parts.

Jim is well aware of ALL the Corvair Vendors.
He's is new to CF, but not Corvairs, or Corvair Forums.
He was a senior member on CORSA's Collapsed Forum before being driven off like the rest of us.

I ended up with what I believe is one for a truck. When I looked in Clark's catalog it looked like the one for the trucks had only 1 bend and you could lay it flat. The one for the cars looked to have several bends at different angles and would not lay flat.

I have one I think is for FC. It's bent different and has like a turnout at the exiting end. I don't know that it's for FC except someone told me as he was giving to me for free.
I wouldn't say I was driven out of the other place, it just hasn't been fulfilling my needs as well lately, traffic is a little light.

Re: Wanted Gas Heater Exhaust Pipe
Mel in Canada has one. I'm a little afraid of what shipping might be. I got a battery mount tray from him last year and it wasn't too bad.
I've tried contacting Boosted60 but haven't heard back yet.
I'll try Corvair Ranch if something with one of these guys or Dave Motohead doesn't pan out.
I've got enough time where I don't need to bug too many people at a time. I know how frustrating it is to go search for something and then have someone not follow through.
The Clarks option would be pretty spendy and they don't have a clamp.

Tried to add a couple of pictures. If you can open them does this look like what you are looking for?

Jim, just ask for another picture with today's newspaper in the , oh never mind..... what's a newspaper?
Maybe a picture with a computer screen with a recent headline in the shot.

Re: Wanted Gas Heater Exhaust Pipe
I was scammed on a turbo shaft before posting a Wanted ad on another forum. Once bitten twice shy and I can't send money to someone who has one post here.
I'm mailing a check to Mel in Canada. I know he's a good guy, that's where I got my '60 battery tray last year and he's invested some time getting a shipping rate.
You can put Found on the topic if you do that here. Thanks,
Jim Brandberg

Re: Wanted Gas Heater Exhaust Pipe
Sorry to respond so late. Sounds like you found an exhaust pipe from Mel in Canada. I am new to this site and you were my first post/response. I am a peripheral participant here and on the CCF. Jonathan Knapp is my brother. I think you have had multiple posts with him on CCF.

Jim,
I believe that you can actually edit the topic yourself on this forum.
IF you see what appears to be a pencil with an eraser on it at the top right where the other Icons are, you should be able to edit it.
NOTE:
The Pencil Icon with the eraser allows you to edit your post and may stay indefinitely.
The X Icon allows you to "Delete" your post but not indefinitely so it eventually goes away but I don't know when.
The ! Icon is for you to "Report" a post to the moderators if you feel it is offensive or needs reviewed for some reason.
The " Icon is used when you wish to "Quote" something posted by another individual.
I did a screenshot of my reply then edited it with an "Arrow" to point out the Pencil with the Eraser Icon I mention.
Hopefully this is of some help to you as well as others.

Re: Wanted Gas Heater Exhaust Pipe
Ratvair sorry about the misunderstanding. Bad responses to Parts Wanted ads have become more common and they're pretty good at it.
I wanted to move along on getting the part so the project could continue so I only waited a few days..
