Updated Clark's RC8774A LM Disc Brake Installation Procedure

Post by Lane66Monza »

In March 2023, I installed Clark's RC8774A LM Disc Brake Kit on my 66 More Door. The kit went on easily. The system proved itself on the 680 mile trip (270 miles one way). Donna drove the car to Helen, around Helen and back home. Lots of mountain roads with twists and turns. Over 3k miles since install and no issues with the brakes. The rework in March 2023 included the front disc brake mod and complete rear brake rebuild with rebuilt rear hubs. Tail of the Dragon driving will show the weakness of the Vair braking systems.

Though the kit went on easily, the installation procedure document was lacking some needed information. I took the time to update the instructions Clark's supplied with the kit I purchased. The revised instructions now includes the torques, pertinent info on wheel studs and many other changes to make the install easier to understand.

I have posted the PDF here for anyone thinking of purchasing the kit to review the instructions in preparation to their installation.

Clarks was provided a copy to determine future use with their kit.
