Vintage EM ice racing
I haven't posted in quite some time, so I thought I would share some cool photos of my dads 61 Monza and a few others as well.
These photos were taken around 63 in Fairbanks,AK. I found these posted on FB. My dad was really surprised to see them and I figured you would like them as well.

Years ago, before he passed, journalist Dave E Davis Jr. wrote about winter racing in Canada using Corvairs while he was working for an advertising firm. Mr. Davis Jr. was a supporter of the Corvair. GM had hired a few drivers to race in an event. One was a women who was NOT pleased that GM forced her to show up for the "race" under contract when she had other plans. Mr. Davis said "she" left the hotel and got in the racing prepped Corvair and put in in reverse and went full throttle across the parking lot into a lamp post!!! Then she departed.

65 Corsa 4 speed coupe. Bought new Feb 65, 4th owner, no wrecks no rust.
