Chevrolet Corvair GM Heritage Center Specs documentation used to be available at the GM Heritage Center website, but for some reason the download became corrupted and seems to have disappeared. I have attached copies of these documents for all Corvair model years here...

As far as I've learned from reading various articles - NO. At one time the automakers decided all the old paperwork had to GO. The folks at Chrysler decided to put it up for sale rather than spending money to haul it off. A wise person (company) bought it all up and has done very well selling the old build sheets!!

Chevrolet, according to stories, either trashed or lost all their old data to fires or water damage - bottom line is it's all gone, EXCEPT for GM products built in Canada, for which the old records still exist as they were kept in archives.

Now authenticating a 60's Chevy is NOT easy and there have been multiple lawsuits filed over the years regarding "cloned" rare Chevrolet products.

Years ago a fellow found a rusted out Canadian Corsa Turbo convertible that he authenticated as built in Canada (one of a few) and he literally dismantled the body and welded in solid sheet metal to preserve the original body, then restored the car. Due to proof via the build sheet (and copious repair photos) he sold that car at a hefty premium. I've seen the pictures of the build and it was worth the price.

I know the GM Heritage site was unavailable for some time. As of a few weeks ago it is operational, they have close to 800 Chevrolet Documents, including each year of the Corvair.
