Look like 67 on Corvair Wire Covers. The 67 and later used the round center cap.

I've never seen these on a Corvair.

A 13-inch version of the Chevrolet Impala SS wire wheel cover was offered on Corvair models from 1965-66.

Warren and son Brad Bodie in 1965, soon after he bought our Mist Blue 1965 Corsa convertible. This Corvair remained in our family from 1965 to 1995. It was later painted dark green (1969), and then red 1979)
I just stumbled on this 1965 photo of my late father, Warren Bodie, and me (I was twelve) and our brand new Mist Blue 1965 Corsa convertible (140 HP, 4 Speed). So far this is the only photo of that Corvair that I've found. Hard to believe, because my father was an aviation historian and avid photographer, but our family photos are hard to come by. I have tens of thousands of WWII and later aircraft photos, however! Photo was taken at an air show at Edwards AFB, California in 1965.

I've never seen any like that on a Corvair. My '66 Malibu has 14" that look exactly like yours.

I had a 67 that supposedly came with those. Seems that the tri spinner could be installed instead. I have seen these on a few 67-69 models. (as to whether they are exactly correct?)

Many years ago spinners were used on the wire wheel covers until those who were concerned about "Safety" got them banned. :banghead:
At some point GM issued a bulletin instructing dealers to remove the spinners from any accessory wire wheel covers sold. They were supposed to replace the spinners with the round caps at the time of sale.
I imagine some dealers complied with this directive while others may have ignored it accidentally, or even intentionally.
After a while wire wheel covers could be ordered through the parts department and still arrived with the spinners intact in unopened boxes.
I know from experience (Late 1970's) that this was the case and suspect that the directive had been long forgotten. :my02:

Mine had four of those that the PO put on. I believe he said they originally went on a different model Chevy from the late 60s, but he could have been BSing. Either way, I don't like 'em. I bought a set of dog dish covers to replace them.

These were supplied on Corvairs for 67 and later as stock. not sure if the 3 prong spinners were also still available (64-66 were 3 prong only), but, these were certainly a stock option on at least some 67-69 Vairs.
