On 1962 to 1969 cars there was one part that was metric . Anyone know what that part was ?

Don't know about that one item but I know all Corvairs had at least six matching parts that used metric threads in every single model from start to end.

Could it be the alternator power terminal nut?

Not alternator , they did not come out until 65 . Spark Plugs , well yes they are metric , but I stated 1962 to 1969 , so it should be something in common with those years and not 60-61

Yes, but I was playing on the statement about "one part that was metric" because now there must be two parts at least if you have another in mind. I even thought the Schrader valves might be a metric thread but those are just a weird bird altogether.

I also wondered if it might be an A/C related part. A/C came out in 61 (62 MY?) but did not run though 69 if I recall correctly.

Rubber O-rings? I believe their dimensions are often stated in millimeters!

But for 1962-1969 the fuel pump push rod and distributor were changed to a new design, The automatic choke system was also introduced in 1962. The brake master cylinder also changed, in 1962 but changed again to a dual unit in 1967.

For some reason I thought all trans bearings were all metric.

The parts book called these 11/16 . in reality they are metric .
