Just bought this beauty

Thanks for adding me. I found this beaut nearby in IL, bought it and brought it home to Chicago. It is a 1968 500 model with only 12,500 original miles!

Neat car. Looks like a time machine.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.
Currently working full time repairing Corvairs and restoring old cars.

Might have had a wreck in the front, I see the left rear side marker but no left front side marker light. What does the other side look like? Does it have one? Maybe the front "clip" needed replacement. 68 is my favorite year as that was my first Corvair, purchased from my parents in '79

Very nice car. You can see a paint shade difference at drivers door. May be correct on the replacement fender.
