OK folks,
School a new owner here if you please. What is your preferred method to lower and raise the convertible top?
I am a bit confused on whether or not to zip open the rear window and how to fold it down.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: LM Convertible Top Operation
My 65 should be pretty close to yours. The rear window in mine is flexible plastic. Usually, a old bath towel is folded and placed across the rear window with the edges of the towel tucked inside the overlap, top and sides. As the top latches are released, and the top raises, I move to the rear area to push down on the plastic window so no kinks will form. Gradually the top is pushed down, and finally the side latches catch the arms.

Re: LM Convertible Top Operation
Thanks Jerry for your response. I will try again this weekend I just missed something and didn't want to force down the top.
The bath towel trick is neat. I heard that somewhere but couldn't remember the details.
I also heard there was a factory convertible top brochure somewhere that came with the cars new but you know how long that stuff stays in the glovebox.

Yes do not try to zip or unzip the rear window with the top latched or your will rip the zipper!
