Started out as a VERY rusty 1961 Monza 4 speed car with no brakes and a rotted out gas tank. i drove it home using only the parking brake and a fuel jug in the backseat with a hose going out the window and to the mechanical fuel pump

Once i got a new gas tank in place and did some brake repairs, i got some new shoes for her

It was at this point that the brake shoes i had relined failed miserably, seized inside the drums, and ripped everything apart. I replace it all with all new stuff including making stainless braided lines at each corner. Overall, the wheel and tire combo had raised the car too much, though. Sooooooo.... it was time to make some terrible decisions.

yeah. that'll do.
kind of.
The car was now riding on the bumpstops and was ridiculous to drive. I had to carefully plan out my routes as to avoid any road with any sort of hazard, pothole, speedbump, and road crown. yes, the car even scraped on road crown. I rebuilt the carbs and converted the fuel system to electric pump.
Next came the body work. The pass front fender had a nasty smash in it and i wanted to fix it.

there. fixed it.
It was at this stage that i drove the car for a while, fixing random things here and there. I put in a 15" red sparkle MQQN Eyes wheel, got divorced, went nuts, and moved to Texas for a year to handle my father's estate. The transporter that took the car for me ultimately ravaged my oil pan and ripped the electric fuel pump off the bottom of the car on a speed bump. It sat in my Texas driveway for an entire year going untouched. I moved back to my home in Tampa, FL, and once again had it transported home. I put her in a bay in my shop and didn't really touch the car for almost another year... until now.
Parts started getting ordered. New oil pan, another fuel pump, another carb rebuild kit, blah blah blah. While i waited on my financial ruin to come in the mail, i started getting after the interior. Since this car is unrepairably rusted, it rains inside whenever it rains outside. Replacing the floorboards would only mean that i no longer have holes for the watershed to leave, so i opted to keep my colander floors, and carpet them with mildew-resistant patio carpet.

i opted to remove the backseat and carpet over everything just to clean it all up some. the seats were so bad off, that a mere recovering wasn't an option. I was quoted $350 a piece just for the front buckets, so i started to check out my options. I went for this bomber bench from an ebay seller named Rotten Larry. He builds them to your dimensions. I figured, if i didnt like it, i'll just turn it into a back seat and do something else for the fronts. I actually really like it, so it stays.

it was here that the car sat

too low for its own good. but that'll change.
