Dang! Your axles look shorter than mine but they must be the same.

I feel for ya. I took my Toro V8 out today heading to the local Cars-n-Coffee meet and after stopping for gas, the drivers door refuse to open more than 1/4" to get back inside. I know that failure point on the LM's so resigned myself to going back home to fix it (not wanting to embarrass myself at the car show climbing in and out of the passenger door). Once I climbed inside, the battery was dead. It cranked just fine when I left home 10 minutes earlier. With a jump from a booster, I headed home and threw the car cover back on it. Good thing I went home, it started raining not long after. I hate driving the big block in the rain.
Radiator inlet looks nice. Keep us updated!

It's a really nice day in Baltimore so I thought i WOULD TAKE THE Corvair out to see how the moving of the radiator went. The car runs constantly at around 155 to 158 degrees. When stopped at a light, it might creep up to 165 but as soon as you move, it drops right back to the high 150's...........on an 80 degree day. I am loving it. On an even better note, The actually sound from the drive train is less than it used to be when the radiator was midship mounted. Without the drone, it is really pleasant in the car at speed
Things have been progressing at a slower rate but we continue to move on. Today, I got the driver's side door and quarter panels on the car. Just in case, the panels are fully bead rolled aluminum panels...……..kind of racy looking.
So here you go

That seems to be the daily news around here. Too many (non automotive) projects.
Congrats for doing more than a flat metal sheet for the door panels. Those look pretty high-class for a race car. :)

The new parts are sourced, bought and delivered. Family stuff has kept me away since the middle of June...……..growing old is not the picnic it had been portrayed to be.
With lots of time on my hand, I made decisions to make some changes.
Next time you see a picture of the car, These will be installed and sorted out

I thought you broke it? Is that problem fixed already and these are just more go-fast bits?

I did break it. The differential bearing went...……….operator error I couldn't find anyone who would rebuild the unit so I bought a complete fresh new unit out of California. I stuck with the 3:07 gears but added posi to it. It is sitting on a jack waiting for me to install it.
It has turned out to be a major medical summer at our house. I've been playing nurse maid chief cook and bottle washer since the beginning of July. Cars have taken a back seat.
I have been stocking up on new pieces. My new dash with a GPS speedo is ready to go in. When I found the 4 deuce setup, naturally I bought it. By spring 2019, it will be painted, a bunch of carbs added along with all new gauges.
