joelsplace wrote: Mon Feb 05, 2024 2:48 pm No it doesn't. I had to change my answer when I turned 56. Actually I'm about to be 57 and I just now changed it.
Which leads me to ask if changing the answer is tied to the poll knowing you are you, - or is another vote just added without nulling out the previous vote???

There is always talk about the need to get young people interested in Corvairs. Yet the poll reveals that it is the over 75 and the Beeswax-er's that need the most attention. ::-):

Yeah I'm definitely in the minority group. :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: As a buddy says, "One foot in the Corvair and the other on a banana peel!".

I gave up on club discussion about getting "Young Folks" to join. Mostly wasted effort. Most people simply do not have the time and money for the old car hobby until they hit about 40 and the kids are gone, job pay is usually good, and you need a reason to go to the garage when the spouse gets going - :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

Most kids anymore are more interested in newer cars, and the older cars with the most popularity. Fortunately for me I'm bo muscle car fan and I hate new cars. 60s cars have always grabbed my attention. Specifically early 60s. I love the EM and LM Corvairs. I got that from my grandpa. Just never could find one I could afford. Now that I'm a SR in highschool I've got time and money for a car. I'm not really in a hurry to settle down, as they say. Don't really care to do much other than go work in the coal mines and build up a nice car. It helps having a nice shop with a lift to work in.

I just bought my 1965 Monza 110 back in September 2024. I’m 29 years old and always love old cars especially from the 60’s (Americans automotive golden era). I’ve always been a gm fan but never knew about the Corvair until the first time I saw one, I was obsessed ever since and had to get one.
