The throttle shafts can wear and cause seepage. Usually the worse issue they can cause is vacuum leak. Some thing is not correct in the one carb at least.

Thank you for this info. In any case, Clark's Corvair Parts offers throttle shaft seal kits and throttle shaft bushing kits to help resolve problems with wear on throttle shafts. Both kits are shown in the center of the online catalog page shown below. Replacement carburetor throttle shafts are also available and are shown on page 58 below.

All metal improved design fuel inlet valves are also offered at the top of page 58. These offer a more positive seal than the standard needle and seat and might help you to resolve fuel control issues in the float bowls of your carburetors. You might also want to confirm that your fuel pump is not producing excessive fuel pressure, using the test procedures shown below…
