The Corvair addiction
Re: The Corvair addiction
Wow, it looks like a brand new car now. Nicely done. I'm jealous.

Holy S@#%... Thats some great work...

Re: The Corvair addiction
I'm working on the mechanicals for what will become my "show car". It's the Toronado conversion in my sig pic with a 425 big block. It has a long way to go to look as good as my red vert. It won't really be a show car either as I plan to drive it often.jftl wrote:lol...If this is how you set up a "Not show car" I wanna see a show car done by you =)
Thanks for all the kind words. I just got a new top boot cover from Clark's. I'll have to take some more pics this weekend showing the new cover and the new stance since I cut the front coils.

Re: The Corvair addiction
Update:
I gave up trying to find a good used top boot and bought one from Clark's instead. After installation it made my old interior look really bad so that motivated me to remove the back seat and do a full cleaning. There were problems that no cleaner (or even lacquer thinner) would ever remove so I used SEM spray dye instead and I'm very please with the results. The front seats also need similar work but I'm not sitting on vinyl in the summer (no matter how good they might look) so for now I sewed up my own covers using red beach towels.

Re: The Corvair addiction
Again, superior work. That car just keeps getting nicer and nicer. You even did a hell of a job on the towel seat covers. That's pretty impressive.
