Hope the family approves and you’re able to score with the corsa! Wrenching 4 days a week is a great goal. I’m doing that on mine and it’s always satisfying! I’m never burnt out as I keep focused on the end goal. Wishing you the best luck and hope for great progress on the ride! Fingers crossed you wind up with the corsa! 🤞

Didn't work out again, but we'll try to get it soon. This car is a really nice one and I really want to add this to the todo list, I've got the money set out but I can't drive 6 hours to pay for it and leave, so we'll have to finish moving the other car into the garage. Here's to cleaning the garage this week ey? :tu:

Thanks John, I have money ready to go, but I don't have the time set to go pick it up. I'll let you all know when we're headed out. :tu:

Just got a lead on 2 REALLY cheap 60-64 vans. I am INCREDIBLY EXCITED, and I'll share more if there's more information :tu:

Connor: Sounds like you're starting to accumulate Corvairs. You're a young man with plenty of time & energy, possibly the only one here who may someday be in a position to own more Vairs than joelsplace... Go for it!

Thanks! I forgot. The seller doesn't know the years so I was just going the full range. When I go out to get them I'll send pictures and you guys can help me figure out what year haha!

Watch out for excessive rust and body rot, broken/missing windows, etc. From what I have heard, these areas can be difficult to deal with!

Thanks Bbodie! I may just have to make a new thread for all my cars and just call it "Connors Corvair Roundup!" But I appreciate this. Man, 16 year old me would be excited for all of this. 20 years old and I already have 2 coupes, and I'm going to have 2 vans and a sedan! So excited for the future of my time in this community. I appreciate all the help you've given me so far guys! :ty:

Corsa I was eyeing appears to have sold. Took too long, I suppose. Oh well, got another deal on the horizon, much closer to home, too. Gotta say, collecting is addictive so far :)

When I was "on the hunt" for a late model Corvair 4-door sedan (1965-67) I tried really hard for a great 1965 Monza in North Carolina, but it had just been sold and I was too late. A few months later I participated in a North Carolina classic car auction for a beautiful 1966 Monza sedan with a 140hp 4x1 engine and A/C, but the bidding rapidly jumped from about $9000 to over $20,000. :neener: So I gave up. :sad5: Then I tried for another clean sedan in the Midwest, but it had been sold. I finally found a really nice one (1966 Monza sedan, 110hp, A/C) on the Internet that was up for sale at a Southern California BMW dealership, of all places! NO ROAD SALT EXPOSURE! After some lengthy telephone discussions, I found out the BMW dealership General Manager privately owned the car, and he was using the dealership to market it for sale. The car became mine, and I had it shipped in an enclosed car hauler from California to a delivery point in North Georgia, near my home. It is now my "daily driver" and has been alongside my 1966 Corsa convertible for about 18 months.

Update!

Buying a Corvair 95, a Corvair Greenbriar (unknown years, doors won't open so far), and a 4 door sedan. Will show pictures, they are on the backlog for the moment, need to get the 65 in the garage. Love the stories guys, It makes me happy that I'm not the only one who loves these cars. :coolphotos:

Love your enthusiasm, but why not finish one before buying a fleet? It's very easy to get overwhelmed by too many projects and stagnate.

Unless you have infinite time & resources... but aren't you a student?
