Re: ENTER - Corvair of the Month MAY 2018
One week into the month and no competition?
To Admin Scott,
I don't technically own this vehicle (but I did for a short period of time last fall). I rescued it and still have it in my possession. I have arranged to deliver it back to the rightful owners (Pikes Peak Corvair Club) in June. Feel free to disallow this entry if you believe it is outside of the rules of this contest.
Okay. Here's the famous Cutaway Corvair by the Pikes Peak Corvair Club. It is a 1966 4-dr 500 that was in a serious collision and restored to become a special display car. This all happened back in 1982 from what I have been told. The placard in the photo below tells a brief tale of its long history.
The Cutaway Corvair is on loan to me from the Pikes Peak club and will be returned to them at the Tri-State Corvair Rally in Crested Butte, Colorado in June. Also check out the video below. Any awards or contributions received while the car is in my possession go with the car back to PPCC to help preserve the car and its history.

Could it be a 1966 Corvair 2-Door Sedan Loadside?

Re: ENTER - Corvair of the Month MAY 2018
My 1964 Monza Spyder Club Coupe in Daytona Blue with blue interior. This was a pretty basic Spyder with a padded dash, tinted windshield, wood grained steering wheel and AM pushbutton radio.
Having had a long time desire to own a Corvair, I purchased it last year already restored to original condition. There are a few items yet to find to finish it up. I found a set of correct Spyder wheel covers over the winter.

Thanks for your votes!
The Clark's Gift Certificate will be given to the members of the Pikes Peak Corvair Club to use towards any parts they need for the Cutaway Corvair.
Cathy and I leave in just a few days to begin the drive to Colorado where the car will be given back to PPCC.
