Are there any motor works businesses that do conversions of Corvair steering from left hand drive to right hand drive?

So do you want to move the steering wheel and controls from the left side of the car to the right?

Yes that's correct. The steering would be moved from the left side to the right side.

Why would you want to move steering? I drive my corsa on the left over here in UK with no problems. Sounds like alot of hard work but if you have or just want to do it good luck keep us updated

Here is a 66 re-discovered recently that apparently went through a detailed conversion to RHD many years ago for import to Australia. I've never heard of anyone doing such conversions.

At one time Australia forbid cars on public roads with the steering wheel and controls on the the left, except for parades. There were some impressive conversion companies in Australia and New Zealand at one time. The Corvette magazines would do articles on converted cars in Australia and the workmanship was impressive.

Now that few, if any, cars are manufactured in Australia the laws have changed (I think it was about a five years ago). Not sure if the conversion companies have survived.

Late model is very hard to do...early models are mirror image.

Not really. GM has sold the Corvette in the UK as a left hooker. My suggestion would be to find a Rolls Royce restoration expert. Many vintage Royce’s are converted when Americans-buy them and import them into the States. I know Royce’s were built in the US I believe in Springfield but they where made as left hookers.

I've never heard of a RHD conversion done in the U.S.A. As I stated before, many U.S. cars were converted in Australia or New Zealand. Also considering the currency ratio getting it done in the U.S.A. would be expensive in Aussie currency.

I'd suggest contacting clubs in your area that have U.S. cars and see if they can point you to a good conversion specialist in your area. Again a few decades ago that type of work was well done in your part of the world, maybe times have changed.
