Center console builds
I have a 63 convertible and am looking to make a custom center console for a hidden double din radio, cup holder and auto window switches. Has anybody tried this, have some images of past builds or have templates for the shape of the floor?
I would appreciate it..

Re: Center console builds
May not be relevant since mine is a 65 but here’s an idea of how it looks. My center console came already with the car as the previous owner had it made. It so happens to have a din inside for a radio, cup holders, and 2 USB ports.davidalva11 wrote:I have a 63 convertible and am looking to make a custom center console for a hidden double din radio, cup holder and auto window switches. Re: Center console builds
If you re-read the original post, he says he wants to “make a custom center console”. From that I would surmise that he is needing information and help in designing one, not information on where to purchase one.
Due to a time crunch while finishing up my 68 Monza, I opted to purchase one from California Corvair.
Some of the owner built ones look like they could have come from Chevrolet.
Anyone have plans for An EM console?

Re: Center console builds
Hi guys,
Found a guy to custom build a box for me. Originally plan was to place to 6" speakers on the sides and include an 8" sub woofer inside center of box but not enough space. Decided on double dip Pioneer radio, 2 Infinity 6" speakers, cup and singles holder and room for electric window switches.

Re: Center console builds
Vairy nice, indeed.
Re: Center console builds
Consider installing a USB port on the console. I did and I use it all the time.
