Re: VOTE- Corvair of the Month April 2017
Hey folks! Here is my entry for this month, my "1965 CORSAMATIC"
I bought this to be my driver while I am turning "Field Find" into a racecar, and it has been so much fun that I will be keeping it for the foreseeable future.
First shot is how she looks now with one coil cut from the front
and here she is in the Craigslist ad
The dash was a nightmare when I was driving her home because someone in her past stripped the paint and left is a polished aluminum dash... BLINDED me more then once on the way home.
My wife was able to paint it in place and it looks great. Notice the Shifter cut into the Corsa Dash? Yes, this Corsa is now an AUTO
then there was the "Yenko" stripe done with the help of my youngest daughter
Finally we made a center console/armrest for long drives With the correct 65 Taillights and exhaust tips, she even looks good when she's leaving!

I can't let ihscomputers get all lonely this month so I'll add my 66 corsa. It is my current daily driver. This is the second time I've owned this car. I bought it the first time 22yrs ago owned it for 4 yes then sold it to a coworker. He called me a couple years ago asking if I wanted to buy it back,of course I couldn't pass it up!

Re: VOTE- Corvair of the Month May 2017
I would love to be in this Corvair of the month. Not sure if I did it right last time when I tried. My Corvair is a 1966 Corvair Monza Convertible with 110 engine. This was redone by the previous owner. When he passed away I asked the family about buying it but they wanted to hang on to it for memory sake but I would be the first to get it when they were ready so in the meantime they had another one same year and model but was Tropical Turquoise with aqua interior and a white convertible top that was the soninlaw aunts car so I had that for 13 years when they said they were ready to let go of this one. I had to get the steering fixed and new tires then I had electronic ignition put in. I found out that the ethanol gas did a number on the carbs and the gas tank and fuel pump so after getting all those replaced it's running very well.

However...
The poll is already in progress with three entrants competing. The poll ends June 1. Since your Corvair cannot be considered for the May competition, you will need to resubmit your entry for the June contest.
