February 27 membership Committee notes

Present were James Keller, Jack Bacon, Mike Hall, Bob Helt and Ken Hand.
Mike - Additional membership brochures printed to distribute to other vendors - Corvair Underground, Corvair Ranch, Seth Emerson, John Sweet, California Corvairs and suggested some to Corvanatics, Ken Hand and some larger chapters. Suggested to get a sample banner made to see if they are acceptable. Mike sent an email to Allan Lacki to add "Where did you here about CORSA to the middle of the membership application. That might help steer us in the right direction.

Jim- We need to make membership affordable to younger prospective members. Even virtual membership is not a bargain at $37. it needs to be $20 for first year only members.

If membership keeps dropping, we may have to join on a equal partnership with another Chevy Marque such as the Vega, Chevette, etc.

Jack - The circulation of the Communique has had a jump from 3383 in January/February to 4134 in March, an increase of 751! jack will contact Mike McGowan to see what was the actual membership increase.

From Harry Jensen, the actual membership as of March 6 is 3353 not 4134 as listed in the March Communique, drat!
