How did your car brake in the most recent autocross? I like following your thread and now I'm curious if you were able to fix the brake issue? I guess if I ask you how the car is handling driving in the autocross, it is too hard to tell if it handles good or not since the brake locking screws everything up.
I do have first hand experience with front brake lockup after switching to a different master and larger vented front rotors and calipers on my 924. It was not fun to drive when every time you have more than medium force on the brakes, the fronts would lock up and you will just slide straight forward. Not helpful when you are trying to corner. Turns out in that car I needed to re-plumb the brake lines for the new caliper and the back wheel cyls were partially seized (still drum in the back).

I live in Long Beach, CA and Fontana is not far from me, I would love to do a bit of Autocross. Can you tell how to get started?xrotaryguy wrote:All ready for Autocross in Fontana tomorrow.

Honestly, it's pretty easy to get started. Just drive out and sign up at the event. It's only $35 for non-SCCA members.
Make sure your battery is strapped down properly and the positive terminal is covered. No big oil leaks. Common sense safety stuff.
They do a cone school and a novice course walk to get new drivers up to speed.
Come on out! I'll be there!
