I have been trying but have been unable to find a circulation schematic which shows the oil cooler. I'm trying to put my temp sender at the exit of the cooler but I don't know which one (top or bottom) is the hot oil and which is the cooled.
A follow up question.... is the filter on the hot side or cool side of the filter? My present sender is at the filter.
As usual, thanks in advance,
Gary O

Re: Oil cooler circulation
It takes a little head scratching to figure out the drawing but you will find info on page 6-12 in the ''65 manual.

Re: Oil cooler circulation
Cool oil exits the top of the cooler. Hope this helps...
Could be better, could be worse...could be riding in a hearse!
Re: Oil cooler circulation
OIl gets filtered before it goes to the cooler.wqqdster wrote: A follow up question.... is the filter on the hot side or cool side of the filter? My present sender is at the filter.

Re: Oil cooler circulation
cnicol, I have an old Clymers and a Motor's manuals but neither had the circulation.
Steve62, yes absolutely that helps! Now I know where to put my sender.
Thanks azdave.... I have the temp sender right at the filter housing so I'm measuring it at its hottest.
Thank you all!!
