Support for The Corvair Forum

Post by hrm2k »

It has been a whole year since I got on my soap box about supporting the board. I'm not sure how many of you thought the information from the board was worth stepping up to the plate to help out with a donation but I can guess it was a lot less than should have.
The Boss ( that's you Scott :not worthy: ) spends a lot of time and money to keep us together sharing information. I have used so much information off this board it is not even funny. We are privileged to have some top notch performance guys on the board who will always answer your questions be it flat six or V8. The depth of knowledge of the members is really staggering. And Scott is how we all ended up here.

I just dropped another $50 donation off the portal page. 50 bucks is not a bunch of money........a little more than a set of plugs but less than a tire. If we all try to step up to the plate with whatever donation you feel you can afford, the board will grow...........Scott can do updates to the software and it will just be a better place.

If you like what we have here and want to keep it, give Scott a hand with a few bucks.

If you go to the main portal page and scroll down, you will find the PayPal donation button on the right side. Thanks for taking an interest in helping out. We need this board to help promote not only our Corvairs but bring Corvairs to the next generation of Car guys

Look at all the questions that are getting answered...........painting tins, engine cranking slowly, Delco pumps any good, color of a speaker grill, vinyl restoration, temp lights and buzzers................every one of these have been responded to many times. How many of you have taken time to support this board with a donation for all the free information you are getting.

Do not sit by and wait for someone else to support the board. When it is gone will be too late

Step up to the plate and donate today

:goodpost: In addition to providing financial support contributions, you can also support the Corvair Forum by taking the time to write answers, guidelines, and to share your Corvair-related experiences.

There are currently 5557 registered users on the Corvair Forum. Yet only 2,070 have contributed 2 or more posts, only 789 have posted ten or more times, and 223 have 50 or more posts on the Forum.

127 registered users (about 2.2%) have broken the 100 posts mark!

What percentage of all of the 75,415 posts currently stored on the Corvair Forum constitute answers to questions? What percentage are questions? :dontknow:

The dedication of the Corvair Forum administration team is amazing. The voluntary financial support is certainly a big help toward keeping this forum healthy and well-maintained. But the life blood of this Forum is also ACTIVE PARTICIPATION — questions, answers, tips, comments, etc. All add tremendously to the overall value of the Corvair Forum to Corvair owners around the world.

As we get towards the end of the year, Things might start to get a little tight around the home with the Holidays and Christmas presents and such. I feel pretty comfortable that statement fits everyone including Scott ( The Boss :not worthy: ). He fronts the cost of the board so we all have a place to go and talk Corvairs. Doing a board such as this is not cheap................software, server costs etc. So I implore you to step up to the plate and make a donation to the board. Several of us did a $50 donation........some even more. But most did not. Those are the ones I hope read this.

Please help Scott help every one of us. Contribute to the board
