Thank you Blaze :not worthy: I'm going to do my best to be sure it heads to a good home. It would break my heart if I found out a future owner just let it rot away by the side of a garage :sad5:

Took her out to a "local" cruise in (about 30 miles away). Had some good conversations. It's fun to watch the parents show the little kids where the engine is

That is cool about the cruise show. I had to laugh yesterday I was working on my jeep and had my 65 corsa vert outside and a couple of young kids were riding their bikes past and one said "Hey that's a corvair!" And the other said "that's f***in awesome". I was first shocked that they knew what it was and secondly because mine needs a lot of work yet.

Years ago I was at a show with a Corvair and a kid, barely tall enough to see into the engine compartment, turned around and hollered in a loud voice - "DAD, DAD, come see the engine is in the BACK".

My first "classic" car was a 1964 Cadillac. The title of the movie "Cadillac Man" was still fresh in my mind. I settled on a variant of Cadillac Kid (Cad-kid). I put a ton of miles on that car in the 10 years I had it. I loved driving it but not repairing the exhaust :banghead:

Thanks I was kind of curious because I have an 82 Eldorado diesel in my barn that was my oldest brothers that he bought new when diesel was much cheaper that gasoline. It ran about 6 years ago and my wife wants me to get it running again but I am more interested in my corvair now so it sits.

Here's a small treat for those who watch this thread - some photos I was going to use in the next Craig's list advert if the Vair didn't sell. I think they turned out great.

Jeremy - It has been good following your journey with your Corvair. Here's hoping you don't regret this sale, and happy hunting for whatever comes next...

As always...

Thanks Bob, I really appreciate that. I've been lucky that I have never regretted selling any of my cars. I miss driving them but that's about it.
