Vintage Centerline or crager solid aluminum rims with rivets

Post by NMVair »

Do you remember these. they were pretty cool when they were polished up but I don't know if they come in a four bolt pattern. I have heard of a conversion but is it a big job? Maybe someone remanufactures them or makes similar. I have seen some solid ones but not with the rivets......Thanks for looking

The solid rims with rivets were Center Lines, Cragar solid wheels were called Super Tricks, they were a drag race only wheel because of the light construction. They had bolts instead of rivets. The original Cragar Super Tricks were spun aluminum, they were not polished. Later Cragar came out with a wheel that was polished for street use. Cragars came in single and dual bolt patterns but I don't recall ever seeing a 4 bolt. It might be possible to drill a 4 bolt pattern on a 5 bolt wheel using a mill , not a drill . You would have to use a template to see if it would work between the other holes.

Man, all the super trick rims I see are for like funny cars with narrow front rims and wide back ones. And i don't like all the holes as it is. I wonder if there is a reasonable facsimile out there to these rims because i think they would look super trick on my Corvair. In fact I think saw one with some once but I can't remember where......

The guy is a spammer, not a very good one though. He hasn't put up what he wants you to buy or look at lol. I see these all the time on a forum I administrate.
