My latest -- It's a Chevy / Jam Handy filmstrip comparing the new Fc 95 with the Ford Econoline and the VW van .
It is titled " The Right Price "
Not too much VW stuff and it's towards the end .

Did anyone else notice the snazzy wheel covers on the 2-tone Rampside? Too bad they weren't actually available to the public.

A very convincing presentation by GM. In the end I found myself wondering why they don't bring the Corvair vans and trucks back into production. They were a convincing design — especially for the business and industrial crowd. A real workhorse!
Too bad the sales and production statistics were low, and the line was phased out in 1964-1965. However, Ford Econoline vehicle production in 1961 was 51,396, which was not exceptionally higher than the Corvair line totals of 47,557 — a difference of 3,839 vehicles. I think Corvair had a real winner! I wonder how many potential customers actually saw this Corvair/Ford/VW comparison presentation, as seen in your video.

One disadvantage of the Corvair vans that was conveniently ignored was that for those who needed a truck for the building trades, 4'X8' sheets of plywood or drywall could not be flat-loaded through the Corvair's rear doors.
