wifes new love interest.....

Post by millpondmonster »

Hello to all. I just bought a 1966 convertible for the wife (which she absolutely loves), and thought I would register here.
She has been wanting a smaller convertible for a while now. After looking at quite a few different makes and models she found this one and fell in love with it. We looked at a couple other Corvair convertibles after she saw this one, but this is the one she wanted.

We even looked at one of the cars that was used in the movie "Stuck on you", but even the fact that Greg Kinnear and Matt Damon had been in the car for the movie couldn't sway her from the one we bought.

Congratulations on the "new" Corvair. My wife also wanted a small convertible, and settled on a 2005 PT Cruiser last spring. Then over the summer, I decided to finish restoring a 1962 Monza air conditioned convertible that I have owned for over 30 years. Now that it is on the downhill stretch of the restoration, she is claiming that it is "her car". I don't think that it is going to happen...

LOL,and thanks. When my wife told me she wanted to go and look at a corvair, I thought "Yeah this won't even get to the test drive". But she got a big grin on her face when she saw it, and there was no turning back......
