1988- My buddy
(same guy I bought my 66 Turbo Convertible from in 1977) called me about his 1968 Corvair Monza with a 140/4sp and posi rear that he was selling. He was living in Ocean City MD at the time. About a 3 hour drive away. I did not have anything I could tow it with until I found a trailer hitch that would fit my daily transportation. I bought the hitch and installed it myself. It was time for a road trip. He had it stored behind Ocean Pines Auto Center. Imagine my surprise when the first thing I notice when I walk up on the car is the word "TOY" read through the windshield. Someone had painted over the rest of the letters of the Toyota truck behind the Corvair.

I had completely forgot about using the '84 Corvette to do this until going through my old pictures. I parked my "tow rig" at my friends house. He sells Snap-On Tools and was having some custom paint work done on his tool truck.
He did very well and crushed the competition.
I left Sunday morning and got home with no problems.
