This is my Christmas present from my husband indianalakewood1961. It is a 1961 Lakewood with a 110PG and drive train from a 1966. He went to South Carolina (700 mi ) to pick it up and drive through the mountains with snow to get it home to me. I love my Wagon...

Here's something a little different. My '66 convertible wasn't too popular in last week's contest, so here is my wife's '65 coupe (Mr. Redd) in the middle of its restoration. I bought it for her in 1966 as our second car. She was a stay at home mom, so this was her freedom machine (no more dropping me off at work when she wanted the car). In late '68 I talked her into ordering a fully loaded '69 and she sold the '65 to my teenage brother as his first car.
The '69 was a POS and she ended up refusing to drive it. My brother drove the '65 for awhile until he heard the siren song of horsepower and bought a Z-28. The Corvair went into storage where it stayed until about 4 years ago when my wife bought it back.
Mr. Redd is currently undergoing a complete nuts-and-bolts restoration. Every fastener and every component was removed and rebuilt, refinished, or replaced. The goal is to build a GT car in the spirit of European GT cars of the 60s.
After the paint and body work.
The painting team with Mr. Redd's mistress in the center.
I am going to round out this month with my own car, even though its a conflict of interest (so don't vote for me) and it's not done but what the heck there's one space left.

Hey Scott....I saw you getting on the freeway down in Rancho last weekend (15 fwy northbound). I was going south on the 15....pretty weird to recognize someone on the freeway going the opposite direction. But.....only if you're into 'vairs can that happen.
Awesome, yeah you don't see them very often and you have to be a Vair person to notice them from far away.
I have been driving it everywhere I can. I got seat belts in the back now so even when the kids have to go somewhere we take the Vair. I love driving it.
Finally.... one of the horses that I bet on is actually in the race. Normally, any time I vote for someone it prevents that someone from winning. Me and Murphy are closely related.... cousins I think.
Me thinks - Only when I have too - because it hurts to much and the fire department keeps showing up; saying people saw smoke. ggg lol
However, me thinks with UnSafe's threats to vote for him or else - has put fear in people to vote. - ggg & ROFLOL
Good Luck Everyone!
