Hello Everyone,
Here are our two Ultravans: (W.I.P. = Work(s) In Progress)
Our First Ultravan is #248 aka Itchy Feet with our 62 Convertible on its way to us.
Purchased Summer of 2008.
This Ultravan is going to be completely restored and will take many years.
Becasue of how long it will take to restore, #248 aka Itchy Feet, I am not starting on it until the garage has been built and #256 is able to go camping with all its modern components.
Our Second Ultravan is #256 aka Itchy Feet II with our Rampside at a car show, this past summer, with over 540 cars.
Also Purchased Summer of 2008 a couple of months after #248 was purchased.
I purchased this one for its interior and any other parts needed for the restoration of #248. However the PO did not do as I had asked, securing the lose engine inside, and one of the main parts I needed/wanted got ruined.
This Ultravan sat for 28 years before we got it and I was able to have it on the road within one year. It still needs a lot of work. However, we have enjoyed taking it to shows this past summer and watching people's faces when they see it.
It is now Corvair powered; but will, fingers crossed, soon be a GM 3.8L gas pusher. I already have the donor vehicle from which I will be getting most of the components needed to convert Itchy Feet II into a more modern motorhome.
Note - To any NEW Ultravan owner not already in the club:
I had to order a crate of windshields just to have the ones I needed for my two Ultravans.
I still have a few Ultravan windshields for sale while they last.
They are new and hard to come by - so if you want one while they last - let me know and goto - the Group link below.
You will be able to search for windshields.

Re: Our two Ultravans
I am fascinated by the Ultravans. I don't know much about them yet. There were two at the Fan Belt Toss this year but I couldn't find the owners to get a peek inside.
I'm envious, you have quite the Vair collection going. 11 parts cars, wow! My wife would kill me.

Tony, I no longer maintain the Hemmings site. I need to ask them to do a re-direct to our new page. I've moved my personal webpage to the CORSA site and we've converted it to the Official club page.

Sorry Ken,
I merely did a Yahoo search - opened that page - then copied and paste it here.
Once I figure out how to edit - I will change it.
Thanks.
Happy Holidays to you and yours
