New Wheels for My '69!

Post by gpracer89 »

After fighting non-fun stuff like oil leaks & exhaust issues, nice to do something enjoyable!

Had debated on wheel choice & for now going with old style 14" rally wheels. Had the fronts, bought the rears off of Ebay with 205/70/14's already on (w/90% tread!), as well as the flat centers with 3-bar spinners. Two new front tires, trim rings from local "street vendor". A bit different & spent $350.00 total.

Like the looks, fit good, drive good. A happy day :woo:

They look really good. What size tire you got on front?

205/70/14's all around.

Here is the other side & you can see the front wheel fit better.

Thanks!

Clearance do you have on the fronts
Never any rubbing on fender when
Turning ?

No issues I have noticed yet. Drove about an hour on Sunday & to work today. The fit on the front edge of the front wheel wells is tight, but so far so good!

Hey '62,

Have noticed very minor rubbing on front edge of passenger side front wheel well. Only does as I pull out of my driveway, which has a bit of a hump in it. But, the wheel well moulding on that side isn't pulled down all the way. Probably has a 1/4" gap. A little tweaking should take care of it.

Regards,

Greg

I just put the same rims on my 65 minis the spinners. Ralley rims are perfect for Vairs.
