Corvair Friends

Post by Scott H »

This is exactly why I do what I do for the Corvair community. Because its full of really great people! :not worthy: :not worthy: :not worthy:
This past Monday three Corvair buddies came by my house, they came bearing gifts... a used motor, tools, pizza and beer. They proceeded to install a motor in my Convertible so I could begin enjoying the car while I finish up the original motor rebuild which because of my hectic life I have been working on for over a year now. I am really grateful to them and very happy that my Corvair is mobile for the first time since I bought it "as a running Corvair" (long back story) in August of 2012.

These are the wheels I have bought for the car.

I have to get new front tires (those are too big) then I'll get after all the little stuff that needs to be done so I can drive her regularly. Then I'll get after that motor build again.

Whoa.....those wheels are very cool, Scott! I'm not sure I've ever even seen any like that. Glad to see you're finally able to enjoy some beautiful corvair noise!

That is an awsome car, I am glad your friends help you get it back on the road. I have a master piece I am building of my own, that has kept my TA grounded for a while. It did not help the wife told me she was pregnant as I was pulling the motor :-) lol

Real friends show up and do stuff like that. They even look like a great bunch of guys. Enjoy it!
