how to remove the headlights

im going to paint the highbeams with yellow stainedglass paint...how do i remove the headlights?

Remove screws from and remove headlight bezel. Remove screws from around edge on headlamp bulb retaining ring...one edge is held with a spring. Lift back retaining ring from side opposite of the spring and then remove bulb.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.
Currently working full time repairing Corvairs and restoring old cars.

couldnt find any stainedglass paint...went to a hobby store (micheals), they didnt have any. theres a hobby lobby close to my house but they dont open on sundays so check there after work tomorrow. also...thanx for the headlight removal instructions! much appreciated!

I had the real deal yellow high beams in mine, but took them out for more cleaner look with the stock T3s . But if you can't find stained glass paint. Duplicolor makes yellow Metalcast that works the same.

i ordered some online...couldnt find it at any of the craft stores (or any of the other stores for that matter) that the krylon website said carried it. should be here next tuesday or wed. ill post pics when theyre done. havent seen too many earlies with the yellow highbeams...should be cool. (and worth at least 10 hp...right?)

I used DupliColor metalcast yellow to paint my Fogs on the Saab, Works perfect, you can buy it at most hardware stores. 4.99 a can ish
