Hi I'm Dave,I just thought I would enter my 65 corsa 140 into the contest because I am Kinda fond of the old beast! I Bought this car in 1990 with slight front end damage, decided to repair it and delete the front trunk bar since it was broken, went for the clean look and installed a cable that opens the trunk from inside the drivers compartment, it had a supposedly rebuilt 140 but smoked and made tons of noise, after taking it apart I repaired all the previous rebuilders mistakes(60 over trw's in 70 over cylinders and intalled backwards) and other Rookie mistakes,This car has a OT 20 cam,60 over trw's and stock non deep seat heads,OTTO pan and valve covers, headers and pertronix ignition, electric Facet fuel pump,4:11 4 spider posi diff,Cut HD springs, crown sway bars front and rear,KYB shocks,2-1/2 turn lock to lock quick steering box and arms, front disc brakes, nylatron suspension/pitman arm bushings/ I had made to my specs, and a 20 year old baby crap yellow faded paint job, I built this car to drive and have been driving the Crap out of it since I finished it in 1993 20 years ago and it has over 130,000 miles on it and still gets 3rd gear posi rubber and runs strong! I drive this car at least once a week if not 3-5 times a week, I keep thinking its going to break something but the dam thing has been stone cold reliable for more than 20 years and I beat it like a bad dog! It has earned my Respect and a place in my Heart! think I will keep this one forever! just for you Allen! Its an old vid but it still runs just as Good!

She is finely on the road, still a lot of tweaking to do. This will be one of the most unusual Corvair engines around....
This is Corvair One's New Look.
Fancy aluminum oil pan for better heat dissipation.
More fancy aluminum stuff.
Fancy anodized black fuel fittings and braided stainless fuel lines.
What she looks like from underneath.
Almost all done.
These openings will contain electrically operated louvers based on compartment temperature
Snow Performance is building me a water-methanol injection system based on my horse power.

Kieth's electric fan conversion kit will also be going on if he ever finishes his new fan design.
1966 140 Convertible. I have had this car for about 5 years now. It's just a great car. It was maroon and I had it painted deep dark blue. It looks great with the all black interior. I did a minor engine rebuild, and then little by little switched out 75% of everything that was a recommended upgrade. ( Brakes, shocks, etc.) The clock is ticking, the stock radio works. ( Upgraded stereo hidden in the glove box.) I really like the "Stock" look, so the car pretty much looks as it should. I drive this car a lot, and it purrs at 80 MPH on the freeways. I am meeting a friend for breakfast today, and will drive the Corvair, top down. It's a Thursday, so I feel like I am cheating the weekend a bit. The last photo was taken on Saturday 5/25/13 This is how this car looks today.
Thanks for the welcome back. I live a couple of miles from Van Nuys. I am in North Hollywood. Yes, we have the Prius, and a Chevy Volt, and the Chevy Corvair.
All three are hybrids, if you consider the Corvair burns gas and rubber. ( Drum thud ?)
All of these cars are wonderful. Just beautiful. Wow.
Davemotohead: Wicked cool yellow 65 Corsa. Love seeing it parked next to the race cars. Love it. Your video really shows how wicked your car is. Wow. ( Must see video !)

I'm entering this one for Missy this month =) This has been Missy's daily driver for over three years now. We originally bought it for $350 after it sat in a barnyard for 28 years. Missy had nothing to drive at the time so we got it on the road in about six weeks!

Boy June is looking like a contest! Have some tough competition with all these verts and Grymm's hot early model! I might need to post some pic's of hot chicks next to my vair! If there is a Tie can we drag race to find the winner???
It's her Vair =) I'll drag race you on the condition that we are both only allowed to use first gear =P... Powerglide Vairs can go about 55mph in first hehe!

Had to go for MotoHead... Iv'e ridden in it, and didn't WANT to drive it. Friggin' thing is SCARY quick, and rides on rails! Of course, Rusty's no slouch, but it has a different purpose entirely...
