Moved to Eugene, Or at age 4 or 5.
Lived there until sept 79 moved to Portland, Or for school, hated traffic.
School didn't work out (ITT tech) moved back to Eugene.
Joined US Navy based primarialy out of San Diego July 1980-July 1986 Hated the traffic.
Moved back to Eugene November 1986.
Moved to Boise, ID for 2 years+ while engineer for AM/FM radio station- too darn hot in summer, not enough trees
Moved back to Eugene Dec 1992 to work for local cable Co.
Will be 20 years at cable Co. this December, all in Eugene.
Or, as we like to call it, "30 square miles surrounded by reality" *GRIN*

My Granddad bought two vairs new. One EM one LM. My first experience with Corvairs was pushing on old LM with my cousins up a shallow grade 300-400ft in my granddads back forty and jumping in and coasting it down. I was about 8yo so it was about 81'-82'. Car seemed old even then weird cause it was only a 16 yo car. But later in my teens my cool ass grandpa had 65 monza coupe 4sp red over red as his daily driver. He also had a cream early coupe. RIP!

Fast forward about 20 yrs married with two kids and I purchased my first corvair last year a 65 corsa hardtop. My old man and I have bonded over the corvair as he has lots of memories of them with his dad before I was even born. He actually crashed the 65 corvair my grandpa had bought new a year later when my pops was 17. Hope to forge many memories with my family with the corvair!! ...taken a while to get the wife on board but thats another story

born in East LA. I saw Fernando Pitch when I was a kid. But I have been in New Mexico for more than half my life, 21 years. Has more elbow room here and cars dont rust like in SoCal. Very few Corvairs in Las Cruces but Richard Finch lives here so i know I'm in the right place. I havent been over to his place in like six months. I hope he's doing well. I will put that on my list. He doesnt like when I bring him ice tea but I do anyway. Anyway back to Ca, I miss Laguna Beach and San Diego Beaches. is everyone still good looking there? I swam around every pier in Southern Cal. I cant spell the State's official fish but they live among the rocks near the shore....I wish they all could be California Cars.....

Did you hear where the goofballs in Sacramento are talking about getting ANOTHER tax going- for the junior college system?? All during tthe election they were saying the prop 30 money was STRICTLY for the schools. Since the dimwits passed it I read in the paper an article where it said the prop 30 money is MOSTLY for the schools. We have a couple years before retiring but once again Chet said even with owning the house we may not be able to afford it here. It is a shame what has happened to this state, and now the tax and spend Democrats have a super majority so can do as they please. This state will end up being populated by the rich Hollywood crowd and their landscapers and nannies.
