Hello from South Florida

Post by fl103dave »

Hello,

I am new to this forum but not new to Corvairs. In fact, I was brought home from the hospital when I was born in a 64 coupe! Anyhow, I'm down to one Corvair now. My father bought it new - a 1968 Monza coupe with a 140, HD suspension, quick steer and telescopic wheel. I am in restore mode now. Should be ready for paint in a couple of weeks.

Got the doors back on and wheels (14" Chevelle) and tires on her. It's gonna be pretty! I'll get some pics up soon!

Dave, looks like you are using photobucket for your pics. To post using photobucket click on the [img] code on the photobucket site, copy and paste it directly into the message body here. It looks like you pasted the IM/Email link.

Or you can upload pic directly to this site using the directions found here.viewtopic.php?f=196&t=618

I sure wish I was in south Florida right now -- we're still getting snow up here.

I looked at some Yenko lids but they were out of my budget! The Palomino Ivory is the original color of the car. I decided on the Yenko stripes because I always liked the way they looked.

I like that you did the stripes in black too. It's different. :tu:

Thanks - I looked up the color on the web and found some Camaros and Chevelles with the Palomino Ivory with black stripes and liked the combo. The black has a hint of pearl in it so it looks kinda cool in the sun.
