What's Up guys and gals!

Post by 62blucorvair »

This is my first chevy ever. It is a 1962 and got her for 1300 bucks. It has a 64' dual carb 110hp engine according to the po, who knows though. I have been in the vw scene with my 64 beetle for a while and i thought i needed to do something new. I hope to have lots of fun doing this. Tell me, good deal or not?

Nice car! I think that is a good car for a VW guy. Sun roof and all. Definitely a good deal. :tu:

I think that's definitely a good deal! I had a '62 Monza 900 about 21 years ago. I considered installing a giant rag top in it, like those early beetles had. I think that would look soooo cool on an early model. Not so much on a late, I don't know why. EM's are funky cool.

BTW, where are you located?

Cool, thanks for the positive response guys. And flat6_musik I am located in Reno, NV. I haven't played with the car yet and I think I am in love. These are some rad looking cars.

Great so someone hacked into the roof, they did a good job though, it flows with the car.. I guess I will have to modify the new headliner somehow...and yeeup the ebrake needs to be fixed I bet thats any easy fix though.

DANG! I've always wanted to sun-roof mod my coupe... now you'll have to post pictures with details. And BTW WELCOME! And also BTW e-brakes are a fairly easy fix yes sir. I bought one of my corvair's out in Reno about a year ago... and now I've sold it off to a friend here in SLC.

Did you get a good deal... Heck a Good Mountain Bike cost $600 to $800 on the bottom end... Looks like a solid car and she runs, (no pedaling) ::-):...

We Say Deal :tu:,

sweet parking break ok when instaling yr new headliner take the trim ring around yr sun roof down probly 50 screws and pop yr glass out if it leaks now is the time to reseal it if not dnt mess with the frame
instal yr head liner trace yr hole with a sharpie remove head liner and trim about 1/2 inch outside the line instal headliner then trimring and glass if u got a buddie he can hold cardbord against the head lined while u trim it from outside
the typcal instal of the sunroof use trim ring as templet mark it out drill holes 1 at ea corner then i duct tape hole from hole to keep from riping head liner then cut it out with zigsaw instal sunroof theeennnn go drinking find a bar fly that wants to hang out it and hoot
